What the 0.5.5-0.5.8 window changed
The 0.5.8 client landed with a fresh balance pass. Below are the six signature active abilities whose numbers moved between client 0.5.4 (build 24690909) and 0.5.8 (build 25188298), plus the passives touched in the same window. Every value was extracted from the client data rather than from patch-note memory, and each entry links to the Guildrun Wiki page where the same numbers are cross-checked.
1. Niklas — Wheel and Deal (the biggest change in the window)
- Base damage 175 → 225.
- The mace now creates a random item every 4 casts, down from every 25.
Combined with his reworked Red Hot Deals passive (an extra item slot since 0.5.3), Niklas is now an item printer. A typical long run casts far more than 25 times, so expect several times more random items than before. Item-economy and shard routes get noticeably stronger. Reference: [Wheel and Deal on the Guildrun Wiki](https://guildrunwiki.com/active-abilities/activeability-9/).
2. Zuri — Petrification
- Base damage 200 → 275 (+37.5%).
Petrification still scales with Magic, but the floor is much higher. Front-line Zuri now punishes divers harder the moment the cast lands. Reference: [Petrification on the Guildrun Wiki](https://guildrunwiki.com/active-abilities/activeability-5/).
3. Nyx — Wild Flurry
- Attack Speed scaling 33% → 50%.
- Attack and Magic scaling 25% → 33%.
- Base mana 55 → 50 and starting mana 15 → 20 (a window change that never made the official notes).
The Wild specialization spikes noticeably harder once attack-speed items come online, and Nyx reaches the first cast slightly earlier. Reference: [Wild Flurry on the Guildrun Wiki](https://guildrunwiki.com/active-abilities/activeability-7/).
4. Pollen — Sanctuary of Bloom
- Poison per point of Mana Regen improved from 1/8 to 1/5 (shipped in 0.5.6).
- The Fae's Kiss specialization: first Stall duration 20s → 10s, second Stall duration 40s → 30s.
The Fae's Kiss route keeps its long stall identity but converts Mana Regen into Poison much faster, which is what the 0.5.6 change was aiming at. Reference: [Sanctuary of Bloom on the Guildrun Wiki](https://guildrunwiki.com/active-abilities/activeability-8/).
5. Funke — Wildfire
- Base Burn per fireball 12 → 0, Magic scaling 66% → 75%.
Wildfire now scales entirely off Magic. Funke lost a bit of early chip damage but rewards Magic investment more than before. Reference: [Wildfire on the Guildrun Wiki](https://guildrunwiki.com/active-abilities/activeability-14/).
6. Skorn — Come At Me!
- Description rewritten: the taunt now grants Shields that scale with Rank, and the shield variables were restructured.
If you learned Skorn from pre-window guides, re-read the current text on the wiki instead of trusting memory. Reference: [Come At Me! on the Guildrun Wiki](https://guildrunwiki.com/active-abilities/activeability-12/).
Passives touched in the same window
- The Conduit: permanent Mana Regen on kill 2 → 3.
- The Boxer (Reyna specialization): reworked — base bonus damage 150 → 50 and Attack scaling 150% → 225%. Below roughly 135 Attack it deals less than before; beyond that it steadily overtakes the old version.
- The Warband: Attack Speed granted 3 → 4.
- The Bold (Kai specialization): the Stall gate for the on-cast bonus dropped 20s → 15s.
- The Hoarder and The Winter's Bite: description rewrites with no recovered numeric change.
Sources and disclosure
I maintain the Guildrun Wiki and extracted the 0.5.8 client data myself. The wiki carries the same numbers with a three-snapshot balance history (0.5.2 / 0.5.4 / 0.5.8), so you can verify any figure above starting from [the Guildrun Wiki](https://guildrunwiki.com/).
